Product Spotlight: The Lazy Susan

No matter what room you’re looking to organize, there is one product that works in every room: the Lazy Susan.

Now, before you picture your mother’s cabinet with an ugly, often stuck turntable, don’t!

The Lazy Susan has been given a facelift, & trust us, this updated Susan is just what you need!

First, let’s chat about the purpose of a Lazy Susan: the Lazy Susan’s earliest use dates back to the late 1700s when tea & wine were easily shared amongst visitors; in other words, placing the Lazy Susan in the center of the table allowed everyone to spin the turntable & select their beverage of choice.

Over the centuries, the Lazy Susan found its way into cabinets, mostly helping people organize their pots & pans.

These days, the Lazy Susan has found itself used in countless areas of the home looking chic. I mean, even the majority of designers & product creators have added a modernized Lazy Susan to their brands, which takes us back to the multifaceted use of the Lazy Susan.

Lazy Susans can now be found in smaller kitchen cabinets making it easier to access cooking oils & spices, or underneath the sink housing a multitude of cleaning products.  Some people even keep a Lazy Susan next to their stoves with frequently used ingredients such as olive oil, salt & pepper.

Lazy Susans have also made their way into the master bathroom.  Whether the traditional white/clear Lazy Susan is seen under the sink making hair care products easily accessible, or a classy looking Lazy Susan kept on the counter with hand soap, perfumes & lotions. Some people even keep a Lazy Susan in their linen closet with an overflow of their bathroom products, ensuring that nothing gets shoved into the back!

Another favorite use for the Lazy Susan is leaving one on your coffee table, which becomes the perfect place to keep your remotes, a magazine or two, or even your favorite candle.

You can even keep a Lazy Susan or two in your kids’ playroom making it easier for them to grab their favorite toys, books or stuffed animals.

Honestly, the use & possibilities for the Lazy Susan are endless! I mean, who doesn’t like to access things easily?!

These are just some of the reasons why we love a good Lazy Susan, but we’d love to hear from you! Do you use a Lazy Susan anywhere else in your home?
