With a passion for interior design, I go beyond traditional organizing by crafting systems that are not only functional but also beautiful and easy to maintain. I firmly believe that the right systems can bring balance and tranquility to any household or workspace, and I strive to deliver that for every client I serve.
Since launching my business, MACMOM Organizing, in 2020, my team has grown to include six dedicated professional organizers. We are proud to be the In-Home Organizing Partner for The Container Store at their Livingston and Bridgewater, NJ locations.
In addition to home organization, I specialize in move management. My team and I are experts in decluttering, packing, and unpacking for moves and renovations, ensuring a smooth and stress-free transition.
Before becoming a home organizer, I spent a decade in the pharmaceutical industry at Glaxo, Covance, and Merck, working in Oncology Clinical Research. While the shift to home organization may seem unrelated, both careers share a critical need for attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to manage complex tasks within tight timelines.
After leaving Big Pharma, I embraced the role of stay-at-home mom to my three daughters—Morgan, Amanda, and Charlotte, the inspiration behind the name MACMOM Organizing. During this time, I became deeply involved in my community through The Junior League of Morristown and Covenant House NJ, where I continue to serve on the Morris County Auxiliary Board.
Currently, I am a member of The Co-Co in Summit, NJ, and a co-leader of the B.I.G. Chatham/Madison Pod, where I collaborate with fellow business leaders to support growth and innovation.
Why Home Organization?
As a certified neat freak, I love using my talents for organization to make other people’s lives better. I have always organized my own home and helped friends with projects around their homes, so I decided to take the next step and turn my passion into a business.
My Approach
I believe home organization is about more than baskets and bins, it’s about creating systems that work for your space and your lifestyle. My team and I create spaces that are both functional and beautiful with our client’s particular needs in mind. We make sure that everything has a space and a place and that the systems we put in place are easy for our clients to maintain.
What to Expect
I am hands-on with every project that I’m hired for. I don’t consider a project completed until you are completely satisfied. I always respond quickly if any questions arise - even months after a project is complete. In fact, many of my past clients are now my friends.
What People Are Saying
“It has been a pleasure to work with Marisa and her team. During my first project, Marisa transformed my over cluttered pantry into a visual work of art. Not only does everything have a place, but I can finally stop stock piling and create a back stock bin with just the items we run out of the most.”
— Erica, Towaco, NJ
“An amazing talent. A whirlwind. Like Mary Poppins. She will come in and have your home looking like a designer magazine.”
— Anne, Scarsdale, NY
“Incredible talent, amazing creativity and a work ethic beyond description. If you are moving, you DO need Marisa. She handles it all with ease!”
